The Item Generator is a Building.
Description[ | ]
The Item Generator is a Building you can place in the game. It is only available in sandbox mode. It may be roughly thought of as the inverse of the Void Obelisk, which is available during normal gameplay.
Players may configure the item generator with a specific item. It will continually output items to nearby conveyor belt and chutes provided space is available. Belts retrieve items from 2 z-levels of item generators. Since they do not have inventory slots, workers cannot pull items directly from them.
Item generators nominally produce 1 work unit/second, however this has no effect on their actual function.
How to build[ | ]
- Open the Build Menu (B)
- Select "Building"
- Select "Void Obelisk"
- Find a flat 1x1 area
- Left click to build
