Only a few goods can be transfered via Mana Pipe; Mana Crystal Air Crystal Earth Crystal Fire Crystal and . Omnistones cannot. Mana Pipes can be connected to a storage building contaning any of the above, then dragged to their destination and connected again. These pipes are practical to use to extract depleted crystals from buildings to recharging buildings, and then back again. They are also useful in providing Temples or the Mage Tower with a supply of crystals to use without the need to worry about recharging (they both consume the crystal upon use). However it can be more logical to simply hand deliver crystals to some locations, such as shrines, as they don't need any more then their initial start up amount.
Before this page gets fully fleshed out, here is an initial example of how to make a circuit for mana power (or elemental power). As you can see, when placing the Mana Pipe, a connector is automatically added to the enchanter. This doesn't happen at the magic Forge. And this is because none of the magic Forge's recipes require any form of mana or elemental power. Instead they require the crystals themselves, which you need to supply with a normal belt instead of a Mana Pipe.

It needs to be noted that the game is currently bugged and you need to click the Display Mana Pipe Overlay in the bottom right hand side of the screen after selecting the mana pipe to lay the correctly.clear
